Bidra med feedbackHaving read all the wonderful reviews, we made this restaurant our first stop whilst in Benasque. First impressions of the actual restaurant, quite characterless and bland. The chef was lovely and welcoming, the waitress did not once smile during our whole meal. She wasn’t rude, just a bit robotic. The food was fine on the whole, the suckling pig was absolutely gorgeous and my husband would thoroughly recommend it. Everything else was somewhat ok. What did let the place down were small things. My daughter’s plate was boiling hot, and continued to cook her steak past how she liked it. Two plates were really cold, straight out of the fridge cold, with supposedly hot food. We had three Spanish menus, and one English one for our son in law. The Spanish menu included some simpler less expensive dishes, however his in English,only the expensive dishes. Very strange. Also the Chef poured a new bottle of decent wine, into my glass that already had wine from the old bottle, same wine, different year!! We subsequently tried other restaurants in this lovely old town and all of them surpassed this one.
Great service and great food, very typical food of the mountains, good vino selection. Recommended with or without children. Thoroughly recommended and good value, service and quality food.
Everything is simply great, the owner who is very friendly while keeping a typical family mountain atmosphere in the restaurant, the wine card with local reds from the Aragon region which are amazing and last bit not the least the food, simply great, all of it. The cheese ravioli, the meat from local veals grown in the Benasque Valley, the onion soup with cheese and egg and so on. Congrats!
We went for the recommendations, but they exceeded our expectations, an excellent gastronomic experience, the very attentive waiters asked them for advice and helped us to choose the dishes and get closer, thanks
Highly recommended, good treatment and exceptional food. We went to dinner last Saturday, it was soon the place was empty and we had our doubts. the food and the owners took any doubts, homemade food, of quality, we asked for several dishes to share and had the detail to separate in 2 dishes each of the rations, advised us very well. try raviolis and any dessert.
