West Side Cafe - Belleville

Moved to this area recently and still trying new places...my husband had they'reSoup and Sandwich lunch special $7.75 "Excellent" I had a Hot Turkey Sandwich $!0.00 and it too was Excellent! Will definitely go back...

I went with my mother and there was a long blonde hair in her hash browns, showed waitress and she actually looked at me and said it was my hair, i have brown hair,,she acted like i had put it there, she never apologized or offered discount, we paid full pricei will never set foot in there again, i was deeply insulted by her attitude!

Very good for breakfast. We haven't tried their lunch but the desserts in the showcase look delicious. The breakfast is always done the way we want it and they have the best home fries.

As others have suggested the food is generally OK, although I have only tried breakfast but on numerous occasions. The service however is at times OK but as often as not can be dismissive and outright weirdly rude. I haven't been for at least a year now after one such event that was so oddly rude it had me actually pack up and leave before ordering.

If you want a breakfast that is cheap and tasty this is your place. It's not gourmet and decor is lacking but they do a good job on the basics. Coffee really needs improvement, it's light brown water in a mug.
