La 23 Bbq - Belle Chasse

That is by far the best bbq I have ever eaten, and as veteran I have traveled the globus and had bbq everywhere. I know texas and memphis both claim to have them.

Every single time I tried to eat in this facility, they were sold out. the line for this place is always long and its parking is packed. Today I am.

There is nothing to say, but fire juicy, fruity fleshy impregnating ribs fall from the bone, smokeyhuh, perfectly made sauces that compliment the flesh.

This place is unassuming...until you pull up and smell what's cooking. If you don't eat pork make sure you say no pork. They put it on everything.The staff is nice and they are frequented by all kinds of people. I'm not a fan of their sweet tea but the food is excellent. The menu is very basic and I love that.They only have outdoor dining but it's covered. I like that they have tacos and omlettes in the morning. Yes... they open early in the morning and close early as well.If you want food that tastes homemade like it was prepared at the cookout, this is the place. When I think of southern food, LA 23 is the place to be!

This food is so satisfying! My first time here and I will definitely be a repeat customer. There enough room for a semi to park for us truckers and the food is so worth the time to stop.
