City At Novelli Quays Cathedral Quarter

A nice lunch in a very clean restaurant. not many customers so quiet. directly in the river so beautiful view.

Good value with date night menu, Excellent main or beef cheek.

Enjoyed our meal but we felt it was very expensive for what we got. Small portions with no sides. 2 courses for £40. Staff who served us were lovely and we got our food very quickly which was great.

First time dining here, food was very very good though less curry spice n fish batter would have been preferred. Staff attended all needs and changed table as low sun was blinding us. Would suggest some clear signs outside on the Quay side to direct customer on foot to entry door is necessary we observed and we also found it tricky to locate door as we walked from waterfront and no sign to point to entrance location. We would return as we enjoyed the atmosphere and food was delicious.

Very disappointed. Took my work team out for Christmas lunch. Table booked for 115pm. Arrived a little early hopping table you we ready as it was hard to book. Restaurant very quiet, no reason for it the be hard to book. Sat for 35 mins before and order was taken and had to ask for it to be taken. Ordered from the set Christmas menu as we thought that would be quicker. Just over 1 hour before starts arrived. Wasn’t anything difficult that required much cooking. 25 mins before main course arrived. Christmas diner and Cod order. Both dishes ok. Turkey dinner very large compared to Cod. Turkey a little dry but overall good quality ok. Only one drink order taken thorough. People at the table had to go looking for staff to get another drink. Asked for the bill after main course. I had to go looking for someone to let me pay it. Total 2 and 1/4 hours in the restaurant. Very disappointed with the service and speed. I missed a meeting for it as I could not be rude and get up and leave plus I was paying. I can understand it’s harder at this time of year but the place was empty and for £30 for 2 course I expect better. Would not come back.
