Followed by the Pasta Trio (small portion of ricotta lasagna, chicken parmesan, and a small scoop of pasta alfredo). Would recommend sharing a variety of dishes with others, as portions of the one Pasta Trio may be too small. But hey! That's on us. Next time we know and we were happy to sample. Lastly, meal was served with garlic knots. You know it's good Italian when bread is served.
We wanted to find a cute Italian place to eat before we saw the sunset. This place was decent. We sat next to the doors so every time the door opened there was a risk of flies. The breadsticks tasted good. I could tell they were homemade but it would have been nice if they were crispier. We ordered the margherita pizza and chicken Arrabbiata pasta. The pizza was alright. It wasn't terrible but it was missing that flavor I look for in a margherita pizza. I can't realize describe it. The chicken arrabbiata was okay as well. I like my noodles more adente and the chicken tasted a little overcooked. The staff were super friendly, but definitely not a place to hang out after you finish eating. They get busy and need every table.
Cute little family owned Italian restaurant. We missed the owners, but I hear that their presence at the restaurant is what cultivates that cozy family feel. Even though they weren't there the food was excellent and the vibes were still a cozy kind of casual. Great selection of items on the menu, full bar and very serve delicious garlic knots complimentary when seated. Parking is plentiful (a nice welcome in Austin! as they have a parking lot.
Start off we were given one menu for 2 people. Ice tea was not good tasted like from powder. Bread was hard. Spaghetti and meat balls were not hot flavor was not tasty. Chicken parm was do tough not edible. Lasagna was bland and meatless. The reviews were great but this Sunday we found this restaurant lacking
I really wanted to love this place. Italian owner, off the beaten path and Pavarotti in the background. But man, pasta out of a package and not fresh made is a non-starter. That would be a game changer. If the owner sees this, idea: have someone in the front making fresh pasta and sell it to go! It will create charm is cheaper than boxed pasta and will up your game big time.
