Bidra med feedbackWent there for dinner last night. Ordered the roasted Chicken. It was dry and no seasoning. Potatoes were dry and asked for gravy to help with that. Told the waitress about it and she did nothing. Dessert came with the meal It was supposed to be rice udding but was more like rice sSOUP> Toled the waitress and she shrugged and said they are all like thiat . I feel she should have at least offered another choice of dessert OR an appropriate aplogy on behalf of the restaurant. I asked her to tell the manager about it and she said she would but I doubt anything will be done to change it.
We had heard about this restaurant from a customer of ours and decided to give it a try. We went on line to get directions, saw the unfavorable review from Valentine's day, and had 2nd thoughts. So, we called a relative who lives near the restaurant (we are about 10 miles away). She said it very nice, so we tried it. We went on 2/15/10 and were very happy with it. We sat in the main area, not the smoking section, so I only saw the ceiling where we were. It was fine, the service was good, the place was clean, there was a container of napkins on every table. We got more food than we could eat,(a fresh salad, vegetable, potatoes, or main entree and coffee). With our over 20% tip we were still under $20, It is a simple, but nice place to eat. If you don't want to cook, want a very good meal, served quickly, at at very reasonable price I recommend it. I did not give it 5 stars only because it is not a fancy place, but I wasn't expecting it to be.
Less than one star. We were seated, our waitress got our drinks, (slowly, but we got them), and then never came back. Everyone around us was waited on, and quickly. Got waitress's attention, she still never came. Finally got fed up and decided to leave, and she gladly took our money at the register for the drinks, which I think was in very poor judgement, when you screw up and ignore a customer, to the point where they decide to leave and go somewhere else, you should at least comp them their drinks. We won't go back, and will reccommend to others that they should not go, either.
We only go in for breakfast. The breakfast is great!! The weekday special is $2.99 for two eggs, a WHOLE plate of hashbrowns, meat, and toast. You definitely leave full. The only drawback is they do not accept credit cards or debit cards. Only cash or check.
I just visited Maggie for the first time and my initial impression wasn’t great. Honestly, the glass doors could really use a good cleaning. However, my waitress was lovely and well-informed about the menu. I ordered a pretty standard breakfast of toast, eggs, and speck. I think the three-star rating I gave is fair, as there was nothing particularly compelling that would make me want to come back for a second visit.
