Bidra med feedbackWhere do I start? if you want to experience an absolute pleasant eating, eat in the casa lola kitchen, in cornelius oregon. to start our meal, we ordered the topas de molecular. beautiful thick, domestic fried tortilla chips that are covered in a luxurious mol sauce, with Mexican cream and queso fresco. that was my first time I tried Mol, and I wasn't disappointed. for her escape my wife ordered the filete de pescado al tequila. red snapper with a butter tequila sauce and served with rice. the fish was tender, moist, not too fishy, and oh so flaky. the sauce was a delicious compliment to the beautiful filet. I can safely and confidently say that this is the most delicious fish dish I have eaten, and it is incredibly easy. for my escape I went with the fajita afteros and I added steak. these nachos uses the same tortilla chips as our appetizer, and they were perfect. the paprika and swirling have added to the dish a delicious garden fresh taste. they were also carved to perfection that added a hauch of smokey sweet with each bite. the jalapenos were spicy, charred and also an incredible supplement. the melted cheese was mixed with more of its delicious mol sauce and filling it was a beautiful nozzle of the Mexican queso fresco, which added an element of creamy meal. the amount of food was perfect for our small family of three. we shared our food with our little ones instead of ordering them a meal that still leaves us full and satisfied. to finish our beautiful evening, we ordered the horchata to go and had the opportunity to try the arroz con leche. a delicious, cold rice pudding. the rice was perfectly cooked and the taste was wonderful. my puerto rican woman could never find a rice pudding as good as her family. overall this meal was amazing. the ambiente was perfect, eating was stellar, and the service was incredible. 10/10
Service was excellent! eating was excellent! atmosphere was also excellent! it's been a few months since we visited, looks like they've been expanding their menu since our last visit. today (Saturday) they had their brunch menu and it had many great items, but the wife and I ended the order from the main menu; she had menudo, and I had chickenermol enchiladas. both meals were delicious. (I'm not a fan of menudo, so I'll take her word for it)
First, I believe that the service is most important. we tried casa lola for the first time before a few nights and had a pretty negative first experience. After this visit I have left a negative review and pointed out that I would update it if the restaurant contacted me to fix the situation. carlos and karla both have taken very proactive measures to solve the errors, even if they dealt with an impromptu staff meeting to solve the problems that were in the game. I must say that it was probably the most positive customer service experience I had in years. the peculiarity here actually takes care of their experience and where we decided not to come back, carlos and karla convinced us to give them another attempt. in a world where the service has really suffered a response from someone who really cares about the service was an atem of fresh air, really. mistakes are made, but it is a real litmus test. casablanca lola stands out where the service is important. we look forward to a second attempt and update the evaluation.
Avoides was a Saturday night at 17.30. comfortable lighting, strong margaritas and a live guitarist who was fantastic to finish the mood. Unfortunately, this is where the good parts stop. the employees were rude, they were too many tables and jobs to collect. our waitress has commanded from our table and the adjacent table forgotten. the chorizoqueso daughter was cold and unmelted. they've regained it, it was worse. the birria is terrible, tastes like dirty feed water and it burns the mouth on chemical wise, not a spicy wise. this restaurant trusted clearly on the car thru during the pandemic, because they still prioritize it over everything that happens in the restaurant. these poor people who drive away with terrible and overpriced ****. here is the kicker: I told the waitress about the birria, she said, "Let me check this out." she comes back, “oh we all tried it’s okay,” and she suggested that some people think that cilantro is sofe. No, I eat every day cilantro and even tonight not sofe. no cilantro was added. she doubled and repeated herself to my face that “we all try it”. at the end they composed the birria I would not have paid anyway. I firmly believe that no, the customer is not always right. I also think no, the restaurant is not always right. it's a two-way street.
I've been here 3 times and each time I am sorely disappointed with my food, especially for the price. I only came because my friends had chosen it. I tried to keep an open mind about the place, but my most recent visit made me realize it just isn't for me. I paid $18 for the chile relleno and only got 1 pepper with a side of white rice. Nothing on the plate had any flavor and the red sauce was very watery. The cheese inside the pepper was rubbery. I was able to pull it out of the pepper in 1 piece and left it on the plate. I was starving so I ate the rice and the outer skin of the pepper. Truly not worth $18. I didn't complain to the server because the event was for a celebration for friends and I didn't want to be the Debbie Downer of the party. I also agree that the chips are thick and the salsa just tastes like diced tomatoes. I really wished the experience was better, but it just always fell short.
