Bidra med feedbackWe stayed here because I wanted to explore Nourmoutier (which was disappointing). The Auberge is run by Fabian and Karin. It looks a little basic from the outside but the owners are very welcoming and the rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable with everything you need for a good night’s sleep including a large, comfortable bed. The great joy is the restaurant which is smart and spacious. There is definitely a genius at work in the kitchen. The food was superb and easily matched what we have had from some of the very top chefs in the world. Fabian prepares high quality food using local ingredients. It was an absolute joy to eat here.
We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table. We were advised of the specials and the option that we could pay our money and let the chef decide what we were going to eat (very Michelin starred). Due to intolerance to a couple of common french ingredients, we opted for the menu option. The amuse bouche and starters were amongst the best food we've had in a restaurant (including Michelin starred). The rest of the meal was also excellent, including local eel and wine. All for about 100€ total for 2 people. We'll be back when we are next in the area.
At first sight we would not have gone to this restaurant in front of which we regularly passed if we had not seen the advice on trip advisor. It was a very good surprise! The restaurant is small, I think it's wiser to book. We had a very good evening and we enjoyed it. little choice but that is what guarantees the freshness of the products. Original associations and products that you don't have the habit of eating, that's all the interest of a restaurant! In the entrance I tested the tuna/melon and foie gras: the smoked tuna was delicious (I don't like tuna usually I enjoyed myself) and sat very well with the melon. The foie gras was "except" in this dish (in my sense not really link between tuna/melon and foie gras), but it was excellent: "2 inputs in one!"In dish I took the eel, I had never eaten it was original and very good! In dessert I took the cheeses (very good though not made enough to my taste) and I tasted at the dessert of my spouse with pistachio/amand and apricot it seems to me: sweet but very good as well.Break, a very good meal, a nice setting, a very good evening! We will return to one of our next passages around the corner!
Eat for the second time .. , I am delighted , welcome to the top , good fresh product of the very good dish nothing to say more than their work it do very very very well thank the whole team I will come back ..
Warm welcome. the card that is simple and complete changes regularly and the products are fresh and suitable for seasons. one feels that there is a lot of professionalism in the plate ;-)
