China Star Buffet - Beaumont

The food was fair. Nothing to write home, but nothing to complain about I was there 1:30, what is a bad time to go eat now, but it was as good as it will be I guess. Place was fairly clean well organized has not a lot of interaction with employees that they all seem to do their jobs good parking opportunities can You have no doubt for the engine at home there without any problems.

The staff was very friendly, but much of the food was bland or otherwise off-putting. I didn't see anything burnt, and the food did look good, but unfortunately, it looked much better than it tasted. The egg-drop soup was perfect, which was a shocker! It's a pretty standard selection. Nice ambiance and service, but far from the best deal in town.

Visited China Star Buffet for the first time today. Overall the restaurant is clean and the buffet has a colorful array of options (see pictures). However most of the foods had little to no flavor, lack of seasoning in most dishes leave it bland and undesirable but boy does it look pretty on the buffet. There is a sign saying you have to pay before you eat due to covid, weird how covid could play a roll in payments. I don’t like the idea of tipping before service, so that’s weird to me. Overall it’s clean, displays look pretty but is bland and tasteless.

Didn 't go in with high expectations- the price and the fact that it 's a buffet should temper your expectations. However, I was still disappointed. Their selection of Asian foods was severely limited, as compared to every other Asian buffet that I have been to. The majority of it was stuff like fries, pizza, and rolls. Quality wasn 't there, either...everything I tried was bland and/or dried out. Cleanliness was also questionable. The only upside is that servers/wait staff were very attentive.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The crabs were rotting on the bar. The lo mein was just spaghetti noodles. I came here when it first opened and it was so good back then but now... The service is okay. There was one older lady who was very much a rude, disrespectful person. They have an ice cream machine that the put watered down cream in so its slow and crystallized. It is absolutely disgusting. If they didn't make you pay at the door then this place would have shut down already from the amount of people who would look at the bar and leave. So disappointed.
