Thibodeaux's Cajun Food - Baytown

Great food from down home folks on the opposite side of the state

I've been eating here for at least 40 years. Best Cajun food in Texas. Mrs. Thibodeaux was one of the Cajun cooks. Her grandson would come over and play the squeeze box (accordion) in my band here and there back in late 80's

I never knew this place was here, but the food is awesome.

Was almost a year in Baytown and never had Thibodeaux!! We decided to eat tonight and it was 10/10. I had high expectations because everyone says their food is great. They threw away my expectations! My girlfriend had the daily special that was some of the best oxtail she'd ever had. Great help from sides to accompany the oxen tail and rice. I had 2 liters of cancer with potatoes, corn, sausage. I still taste the cancer I've ever had. Potatoes cooked delicately but not muddy. Sausage is cooked at home. I'm not much of a sausage fan, but I'm back, and I definitely try more sausages and the Boudin balls!! Great staff, to the point and friendly. You take care of you, but don't take Bs!! As it should be. Don't hesitate. Go to see why it is such a Baytown spinel, and enjoy it crawdads!!

The seafood gumbo was really good! Nice mix of shrimps, crusts and little heat. And the smoked Boudain was a nice side to go with the rubber bomb. The dining area was clean and the staff was friendly.
