Lakehouse - Bay Shore

Beautiful evening, sat outside with view of Great South Bay. Our server was fantastic, perfectly overseeing our needs without being over bearing. Started with bread basket, tuna tartar and chopped salad (both great). We would have preferred to enjoy the tuna before our salad (which they very nicely split for us) but it was okay, just crowded the table. Disappointed in having to pay for bread without knowing what it would consist of. 3 of the 6 rolls had raisins and one pretzel roll, which we do not like. The two rolls we liked were delicious but $7 for two rolls is ridiculous. Excited for the duck entree but unfortunately came out medium well instead of the medium rare requested and needed to go back. Husband's burger was good and the fries were outstanding. Server brought me a small plate of more tuna to snack on while I waited for the duck replacement (nice touch). Duck came, correct temp but without the crispy skin, looking a bit pale. It was delicious anyway but by then hubby was done eating and I was kind of full, so wrapped it up. Server brought us a small dish of ice cream with candle unexpectedly for our anniversary celebration, yumm. Overall very nice night. We will definitely be back.

Omg this place is Fabulous!!!!!!! I had the best chicken dish of my life!!!! Hubby has an amazing filet mignon. He started w a great lobster bisque and mini grilled cheese. We finished with heavenly doughnuts. Can't say enough about this restaurant. Food, service, ambience perfect!!!

The food was great, service outside was terrible. Drinks came to the table watered down after 25 minutes waiting for them. The seating outside is terrible. Tables are crappy and too high for such a low seat. Overall food was great but extremely overpriced for where you are and what you get. Prices of a waterfront in Manhattan on Long Island. Insane

We started with bread order and tuna tartar. We asked for the bread to come out 1st but they both came out at the same tone. The Tuna was Delicious. My husband‘s Duck was excellent. My scallops were good. Unfortunately the service was horrible. Wouldn't even give it a star. My waitress never came over. I need more butter asked three times never got it. A drink was accidentally spilled, the waitress never came over to ask if we needed another glass of wine nor to help clean up. Unfortunately, the place is good but the service was horrible. Not sure if we'll be back.

Nice ambiance. Waiter was terrific. Not a very extensive menu. All the fish entrees were smothered with sauces. I prefer grilled and topped with avocado, salsa etc. Tuna appetizer was delicious Prices are steep.
