Chinese Inn-nicholson - Baton Rouge

5/5 The workers are very sweet and the portion size is especially great for the price. The buffet was closed due to Covid, but you can now dip or choose. I don't see a problem with the inside as some commented. The decor is very cool, especially if you are open to East Asian culture.

I haven't eaten here in a few years, but I just remembered this place and realized that I never left a review. My mother and I had happened randomly on the Chinese Inn when I first arrived in LSU and for the next 5 years it was a constant clamp for me and finally my best friend / roommate. This restaurant has THE BEST combination of roasted rice I've ever tasted in my whole life. I'm trying to fit it in any Chinese restaurant I'm going to, and I never did it once. After I finished college, I would go back to Baton Rouge at any time, and whoever I had with me to experience this dish, and every single person agreed with me about the fried rice. And the staff is sooo sweet. For years after my roommate and I were a graduate, we would go in there and they would remember us. If only one of us was there, they would always say, “Oh, how is your friend!” The hot and acid soup and egg drops are also phenomenal. Oh, and get the crab ringoon.

This is the best Chinese restaurant ever. You have the best chicken roast rice in all Baton Rouge and surroundings. Their spring rolls are amazing and mix vegetables. This is the only Chinese restaurant I ate.

Chinese Inn is a family lover. We serve this Chinese restaurant for at least 7 years. Prices are ideal for families who want to feed the family. The fried fish and the chicken are amazing and crispy. The egg rolls are always perfected with the duck sauce on the side. The shrimp fried rice is a helping part with Nize size shrimp that you do not have to go and search. The orange chicken and sesame chicken are a family favorite. We love beef and vegetables and every steamed vegetables is surely a winner. The food is served piping hot so please go ready to enjoy the taste of great taste that you will be sure every time you return. I know that some places are incompatible with their charges and depends on who answers the phone, but this is never the case with Chinese Inn.

I'm new to B.R. and this was my first take out/ delivery restaurant I tried. ..long story short, I'm hooked on the house special fried rice and green beans. Yes, everything else I tried was wonderful but every order will include the rice and string beans, period!!.
