Bidra med feedbackWe were incredibly excited to try Bath’s The Elder Restaurant during our holiday in the UK. Their story is inspiring, the ethos is exactly where we hope all restaurants go, and the reviews are consistently positive. While the service was good and the ambiance was interesting to us, the food missed the mark. We love to eat great food, especially when traveling—this meal was good, not great. Our favorite components of the tasting menu included the artichoke velouté, salted butter, and venison broth not the deer or bass, which could have been the showstoppers. When we go back, we’ll try ordering items a la cart. Outside of the food, dimmer lighting and a less scripted staff would have elevated the experience. TL;DR The overall experience and cost of the tasting menu did not add up to the total on our bill.
It couldn't be better: excellent service, culinary delights paired with a selected wine list in a stylish ambience we had a wonderful evening. Thanks! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Go there, eat and enjoy!! One of the best restaurants in Bath. I only would go there for the broth againand that says it all. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had the tasting menu and the quality was outstanding. I think some of the dishes were pushing it a bit, like sharing a bread roll between 2 people, particularly when dining with new people. However, this doesn’t take away from the perfection of each dish. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
