Bidra med feedbackWe booked 2 rooms here as we were going to the Christmas market with friends. When we arrived it was freezing outside and indoors, the heating wasn’t on,there wasn’t even a radiator in the bathroom, when my husband went to complain they said it was on the timer and they had just switched it in and it would take some time to heat up. We ate at the restaurant the food was nice but we had to get our coats to keep warm as it was still freezing in the restaurant. They were having Christmas parties so was also very noisy. We wouldn’t stay here again.
Steak night is well worth going to for value for money but Bar prices for Beer and Wines are too expensive best to drink elsewhere !
Came for Sunday lunch with my 90 year old mum and it was perfect. Food was exceptional. Staff were excellent. Thanks for giving us the table we requested by the window. Definitely be returning.
Unfortunately on this occasion our Sunday lunch was not up to expectation. We waited a very long time to receive our food. We were beginning to worry about our cars parked in the 2 hour stay car park and because of the delay all of us had to move our cars! No one had a starter and the main meals were ok, especially so the short rib. Unfortunately the fish and chips was not good. The deserts definitely let the Old Manor House down. They were not good quality, especially for the price being charged £7.50). The Brownies were very bitter, the ice cream was watery and had no taste. The crème brûlée had a strange consistency and the crumble which was apple, cider and ginger was so hard it was almost inedible. We didn’t complain about any of the above. The hotel was very busy and no-one came to ask us if everything was ok.. We have always enjoyed a lovely meal here in the past but sadly not good this time.
The Old Manor is an excellent little gem in Keynsham, honestly serving the best Sunday Roast around. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, food cooked to perfection and the short rib is to die for. Their menu caters for everyone and is updated regularly with seasonal produce, burgers are excellent and steak night, very well priced at £35 for two and a bottle of wine, but also your steak is always cooked to perfection with the best triple cooked chips I've ever had. Oh, and the garden is beautiful for a pint in the sun...!
