Thali - Bath and North East Somerset

If you are thinking of ordering a takeaway from this restaurant... don't! Choose another one. I can't review the food because after waiting 3 hours and making innumerable phone calls.the food we were looking forward too failed to arrive. I think the restaurant is too small to cope with in house diners and take away. There are many other good Indian restaurants in Bath.. Masala kitchen is good and reliable.

The Indian food at this restaurant is truly amazing and authentic, with great service to match! I would eat here every day if I could. We make sure to visit every time my mom comes to stay.

The food at this restaurant is excellent with amazing flavors. I highly recommend trying the thali's and sizzler dishes. It's the best authentic Indian food I've had!

We had our first takeaway since the Coronavirus lockdown and it was such a disappointment. When we first moved to Larkhall over two years ago we tried Thali and it was pretty bad. Since then friends convinced us to give it another go and we actually really enjoyed it. We would usually order on a Friday or Saturday night and I don’t know if there is another chef on those nights but what I had last night was not the same Goan Thali that I usually get. It was, without exaggerating, quite disgusting. If we weren’t in a lockdown I would’ve walked back and left it with them. The prawns were chopped into little pieces and swimming in a thin, bland, watery, yellow/brown sauce. Nothing like the big whole prawns covered in a delicious spicy sauce that I’ve had on the previous 4 occasions. It’s really annoying when a restaurant cannot be consistent. We live 60 seconds from Thali and we were so pleased when we decided it was tasty, not amazing but at least tasty...so we’re pretty gutted that it’s gone back to being awful. The other meal we got was OK but still nowhere near as good as we’ve had it before. The meal we ordered was over £30 and I’m afraid that’s just too much to risk having a rubbish meal. I think we’ve no learned a lesson, we will need to find another take away. That will probably be our last go with Thali it was really bad. I think if you do give it a try...perhaps do so on a weekend. Terrible meal last night, total waste of money.

Such a lovely quiet place and. A brilliant treat before heading to Rondo Theatre. Staff are very friendly, food is excellent! You being your own alcohol is a bonus. A definite jem in this little village.
