Paw Paws Catfish House - Bastrop

2 adults 3 children. Tried to squeeze us in a booth! Arrived a little before 2 on a Friday..took our order came by at 2:22..said order out shortly. I chased waiter down at 2:36..still no food. People came in after us were already eating! Food finally arrived at 2:50! Was not piping hot so obviously sitting a while. Waiter told us they had been working on to-go orders ahead of people actually in restaurant! Left $1 tip..service sucked and wait Damn near unbearable with 3 kids! My daughter forgot something at table so we had to go back in to get it and waiter literally chased me down sidewalk throwing dollar at me saying he was insulted! Screw that! Unprofessional and we should have just walked out sooner..it doesn't take almost an hour to fry fish!! No apology for wait or anything!

I love seafood and this place is exceptional. The french fries are super good. I also got the banana pudding for dessert....yummo. everything was terrific. I recommend highly.

Always fantastic perfectly cooked shrimp catfish anything you order and presented with a smile. You can’t go wrong at Paw Paws!!

Sitting here right now. The people here are great. Catfish and chicken awesome. So good in fact that i would cribe from austin just tp eat at Paw Paws!
