L' Essentiel - Bastia

We had a meal there and left super happy. burger was very good, nice ice, good price for bastia! a must try!

A nice bar cafe to stop for a drink on a warm day. We sat on the street which was very pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful. It is also good to have a decent toilet when there are few public ones.

Avoid brunch at L 'Essentiel, that was the only tourist trap we 've experienced, nothing was locally produced and everything far from the picture describing it: frankfurt, low quality tomato, what they dared call fried Pancetta (which I know very well) was low level industrial bacon as...you 'd find in supermarkets and it was cold and dry... And we also waited really really long for it... Imagine our disappointent... The scrambled eggs were quite good but that 's about it...

We had just returned from a walking tour through the old town of Bastia and decided to stop at this cafe which is located on the main square of this quaint city of Bastia. We ordered crepes and ice- coffees. The ice-coffees were refreshing ...whilst the crepes seem to take ages to come, they were great. A nice place to relax and enjoy a bit of French hospitality on the island of Corsica. Very enjoyable.

We were just looking for a quick dinner after a long journey and this restaurant far surpassed our expectations. We were served quickly, by friendly staff and the food was great! Big bowls of pasta and mussels, which were just what we needed and more!...Good central location overlooking the square and ferry ports. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable meal!
