The Laughin' Barrel - BASKERVILLE

Very family friendly with toys and games inside and a play area outside. Staff were great, food was good, large servings of "real food". Good selection of wine. We had an enjoyable experience.

The position very picturesque & nice sitting outside (inside available). Food pretty good but the experience was spoilt by very very slow service. We wasted a lot of time that we wanted to spend exploring the area.

We arrived 11:30am on a Sunny winter Sunday in July. Apart from another couple having wine tastings we were the only other people here. The wine tastings I felt were fanatastic. The lady (Sarah) was great. The wine was delicious. We then sat outside with 2 young children under 5 and were given a tub of blocks and colouring pages and pencils. We ordered a bottle of rose as they have byo or by front the cellar door. Delicious rose by the way! We also ordered the best burger we have had in a long time and the children had fish and chips and popcorn chicken and chips off the kids menu. Great food, great serving sizes. Great fenced playground. Relaxed vibe. Lota of families here on a Sunday. We loved it and will be back. Thank you for the great service!

A group of 19 of us came here for a hens day. We walked into the small area where the tastings were and were hardly greeted by any staff. Each wine was pored as a taster and we were just told what the wine was and that was it. The lady pouring the wine didn't want to be there and clearly had no people skills as she left the room after finishing poring the last glass?!Looking outside at the vineyard wasn't a great site - so over grown and not well maintained. Don't waste your time

My family came here for lunch and i was disappointed. We ordered a starting plate and the wood fire pizzas. Overall the atmosphere was great overlooking the beautiful vinyards in the Swan Valley and the food was really nice. The biggest letdown was the wait time which was 45 minutes for a small tasting plate and an hour and a half for the pizzas. We have come here before and couldn't fault the place but this time was a letdown. Maybe we caught them on a bad day I'm not to sure .
