King's Garden - Basildon

Have had a takeaway from here once previously and it was amazing (a few years back) but had one recently and it was horrendous. Chicken was mushy and jelly like consistency, the dishes lacked any flavour other than oil. Real disappointment

Worst takeaway Chinese I've had, lemon chicken was stringy, wet chewy, I even put it in the oven to cook longer but it still tasted horrible had to throw away. Chow mein had no taste, was burnt oily, crispy shredded beef had no flavour at all either. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I'm sorry to say that the food at this restaurant was terrible. The chicken was like jelly and lacking flavor. The chicken balls were tasteless and drenched in oil, and even the prawn crackers were bland. After this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I have been going to King's Garden for about 6 years now. The food is always delicious and the service is very reliable. The owner is a very nice person and the delivery is always on time as promised.

The Best Chinese in Wickford, we tried here after the other most popular Chinese was shut and how we wish we found the Kings Garden Sooner! Great Portion sizes, free delivery and £10 cheaper than our usual place! Only downside is that they only accept cash. try it you won’t be disappointed
