Hitzberger Basel Aeschenplatz

We went to Hitzberger for lunch today and I ordered a pulled beef wrap and a mineral water. I paid 18.50 chf which is enough, specially since you are not served, have to queue to order and wait for your number to appear to get your food...We did not have to wait long for our wrap (max. 3 minutes) and the wrap was also hot.I would have also expeced a little more, the lady that took our order said that the big wrap is if you are hungry. but even if I would have been able to eat it it would habe not been filling, even for a lunch....The wrap was really uneatable. the only thing that I could taste was mustard seeds.You really had to look for the meat ... my wrap did not have more then 3 pieces of meat...The better name for this weap would have been 'mustard seed wrap with sprinkles of pulled beef'....There was so much sauce/juice in the wrap that after 2 minutes the wrap was so soggy that it started to fall apart. This made it impossible to eat whithout making a big mess...I will not revisite this restaurant again.

We have read a lot about this locally and wanted to try it out, but will not come anymore. the idea of high fast food is good, but it is now a fast food ambiance and a fast food eat, and for that I am not ready to spend so much money. I prefer to go to a small fine restaurant as there are so many in basel. that put on high quality components and high pleasure but you feel welcome and caressed.

Kai-Uwe and Chaya's warm welcome makes ones visit a great experience and the perfect place to come for a break and the nice food, I had pulled beef and a Mango smoothie, it was awesome and one of a kind, and despite of the rush hour it went real quick, making me want to come again and again. Thanks for the nice experience and the great food. Keep it up guys!

The suppers are very delicious. We have ordered falafel salat, which was also very good, but if you had eaten the suppe, you would have enough.The details of the nutritional values on the acknowledgement is a good idea, but is not divided into the individual feeds but listed as the sum of all orders.

Dear team of the heated restaurant best thanks for the fine lunch. the pulled beef wrap I can only recommend meatloverhaber. after having the 3 kilos carrots behind you, you can look forward to a lot of salate. in between I am a little shocked as I bite on something similar to animal meat. will probably be in the small print that traces of Swiss bark are in it. Otherwise, I can only say that I got exactly what I ordered: an eco-karrottensalatwrap from the finest :)
