Bidra med feedbackFrom the outside it looks like an old saloon bar from the old west. When you walk in the front door you're happily greeted by anybody working I felt very welcome here. The waitress told us we could sit wherever we wanted. There are four full-size four person booths, four tables, and two mini two person booths. The lights were dim and there are fun colorful strips of lights (see pics). It was very relaxing and a perfect place to get a nice meal after a busy day. The temperature of the restaurant was very comfortable. The bar is in a separate room and they have some gambling slot machines which is always fun. The food is always good here. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken with green beans and fries (instead of the mashed potatoes). He loved it so much! Everything is so flavorful and the breading is very crispy and the chicken was so juicy. I ordered the 4 piece broasted chicken dinner with broasted potatoes, corn bread, and coleslaw! All I can say is Wow! I don't think I have enjoyed chicken this much in a long time. The breading was crispy and crunchy and the meat was tender! So so yummy! The corn bread was so light and tasty and I love the coleslaw and the broasted potatoes! If your in the area you need to stop by and give this restaurant a try!
I will start by saying I had been here before. Loved the place. They had a drink called hillbilly punch and amazing fish and chips which is why i chose this place to celebrate my bday. We get there. We were offered a seat at the bar or wait 15-20 minutes to be seated at a table. We chose the bar. After about 5-10 minutes we finally get approached. The lady working the bar was the same one serving a table next to the bar of about 10 people I would say. I was a server. I know how it is. During our wait another couple sat next to us. When the bartender approached us she asked what we would want to drink. We asked for a drink menu and she said we don 't have one and walked away right away and started helping the couple next to us and gave them a menu right away. I loudly asked for a menu since she just walked away from us, she didn 't give me one. The couple next to us gave us one of their menus. As I look over the menu, one side was for food, and the other side was all drinks. So i make a comment to my friend oh look a drink menu the bartender says bye rolling her eyes. I then asked if she was talking to us. She replies dont be so ignorant. We asked how is that ignorant as a this literally says drink menu on the menu, she says shut the **** up I was in disbelief she said that so i was like did you just tell us to stfu and she said yes dont be so ignorant and walked away. We had taken an uber there because we were planning on drinking so we had no where to go. After 1-2 minutes the lady comes back and says sorry about that, lets start all over i have been really stressed, what can i get for you... I asked for a water out of pettiness and we left after. No tip LMAO. I had never ever been treated like this. Makes me wonder if this was a racial thing or if she really was just having a bad day. We appeared to have been the only hispanics in the whole restaurant outside of the cooks. The couple she helped next to us along with the whole restaurant outside the kitchen appeared to be caucasian. We walked to one taco dos tequilas which was awesome. My review for them will be up over there shortly.
My husband and I ordered from The Still a few days ago because warm weather begs for some BBQ grub! We unfortunately did not enjoy our food experience. We ordered fried pickles, shrimp basket, The Still burger w/sweet potato fries, and a pulled pork sandwich w/sweet potato fries. The fried pickles were major salt bombs, so much so that all I could taste was salt for the rest of the night. They also forgot to pack a dipping sauce, so these were an all around disappointment. My husband said the shrimp was good. He wanted to like the burger, but seeing as he was never asked what temperature he'd like it cooked it was well done and not very enjoyable to him. The fries were very greasy as well, which was not appetizing. Finally, my pulled pork was good with great smoke flavor, however, there was no coleslaw as there should have been and there was very little meat on the sandwich. Ultimately, this unhealthy meal left very little to be desired. Unsure if we'll give them another shot. Perhaps once they reopen. But all that food for the money was certainly not worth it to us. Best wishes to them and hopefully they can make some adjustments to push out better quality fare.
Use to be a fan but our last visit was disappointing. Food was pricey and I had the brisket melt which was mostly bread but flavor was decent. Sweet potato fries were chewy. Also disappointed to learn they added a 3% surcharge for using a credit card so bring a bunch of cash if you go.
We had issues from the start. We arrived on time for our reservation, but our table wasn't ready so we sat at the bar. They didn't carry Stella, Modello or Titos. They also were down to there last two bottles of Corona. We all ordered meals. The filet was very good and that is why I rated it a 2 star. There was 5 in our party but we needed two checks (1 check was for 1 person, the other was for the other 4 people). One guest ordered Buffalo chicken mac cheese and when it arrived it was just chicken Mac and cheese so she asked for Buffalo sauce. She was charged extra for the sauce even though it was supposed to be part of her meal. Another guest ordered a burger no onions. When the burger came out, it was smothered in onions. They offered to remake it, but since everyone else had their meal, she didn't want to wait. She just pulled them all off. The worst part was our check. They told us they would role our bar bill over to our dinner bill. We got two checks one for 1 of the guests and 1 for the other 4. Good thing we looked it over because the second check included all the items from the separate check as well. So we were being double charged for 2 meals and drinks. When we brought the mistake to the owners attention she said that the extra money would come off when we paid. That made no sense to us since we were paying cash and would just have left the whole amount with tip in the receipt book. Then after she adjusted the check (along with being snippy , a bit rude, and huffing) we sorted it out, put down cash, AND then she brought us the bar bill?!? It was ridiculous! We just paid it and left. We expected it to be part of our dinner bill which had a lot of drinks on it so not even sure if we double paid for some of them. I know the owners are new and just took over a month ago, but it was comical and most of the guests at our table say they would not go back. The food was good. They just need good servers since the owners were serving and they have never done it before.
