Salvanas - Barrow-in-Furness

The food was terrible and overly salty, it tasted like I had just consumed a large amount of unappetizing liquid. The service was hurried, with plates being cleared before we had finished our meal. I will not be returning to this restaurant. In comparison, a chicken and bacon pasta bowl from a Tesco meal deal for £3 was more enjoyable than the expensive carbonara and al forno dish I ordered here.

We had a really tasty meal on Saturday night with family and friends at this restaurant in the center of Barrow. The staff was very helpful and my husband had left the reading glasses at home so it was difficult to choose from the menu ... without having to ask them to offer us the use of glasses courtesy of the restaurant, which we thought was extremely attentive. A relaxing yet animated atmosphere here too.The food was charming, with a lot of variety and is not expensive at all. I think they offer a special price menu too.

Visiting my parents, so it's always an easy option to go in a city like Barrow.We knew it made a special tea time so we booked a table and left ... less than an hour we were home!The restaurant was full, the food was fine, the service was super fast ... so fast ... the food was missing something.The garlic bread was oily and low cheese prepared, without faucet to the base, to mailsos bread.Even the pizza was not prepared under the water and to the left the increase in the mattress.Both were tasty pasta dishes but fatigue pampered salsa.Gir the oven a little boys, cook just a little longer and you will have to extra category ... since it is not worth more than an hour of special price tea, a pity.

We visited this restaurant on a rainy Friday after seeing lots of locals waiting for the 12 o'clock opening, which is usually a good sign! The service was polite and efficient, and the food was okay, average. The drinks were a mix of fresh filtered coffee, perfect draft lager, and flat but drinkable draught Coke. For mains, the Penne Arabiata was spicy, the Chicken Pasta was average, and my Vegetarian Ravioli looked great but the sauce was too watery. The Garlic Bread was nice. Overall, the restaurant didn't exceed the commercial Italian places on the High Street. At around £10 per person for a main and a drink, it was reasonably priced. We probably wouldn't go back, as Glasgow has better Italian options, but it's worth a try because the staff are friendly and it has potential.

We simply booked an end away and left the Blue. What a well-maintained restaurant a bit fast in service, but the staff was very nice and professional. The food was delicious well prepared for our taste. We really enjoyed our night.
