Tesco Cafe - Barnsley

I ordered a ham and cheese toastie, but what I received was a ham and cheese sandwich with a thick layer of warm, greasy cheese on top. The bread was only lightly toasted on one side, making it sloppy and overly rich. I won't be ordering that again.

I ordered scampi and chips and macaroni cheese at this restaurant, but the flavors were disappointingly bland. It reminded me of eating microwave pizza and pie back in school. The salad was limited to a chopped tomato and a slice of lettuce.

Visited for lunch was in a rush so got it to take away. Perfectly cooked and red hot. Lattes are great and was served by friendly helpful staff all smiling. Everyone knew there job. Ample of clean tables waiting times as expected but pretty busy

I recently visited the Tesco Cafe in Stairfoot, Barnsley. I ordered the soup which was priced at £3.95, but was disappointed to receive only half the portion when it arrived. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was informed that the portion size was correct. I was not satisfied with the serving size and will not be returning to this cafe in the future.

Me and my family are currently back in barnsley visiting family as we live in canada and decided to stop of at the barnsley wombwell lane store for a quick takeaway coffee but was pleasently suprised on how the cafe looked and the atmosphere, didnt expect a supermarket coffee shop to look like a diner. we went about 5.15pm on a saturday and had coffee and cake we was served by two friendly pleasent guys called Gary Josh they could have not done anymore for us. Overall a great visit real shame we have things planned while here or would have loved to try some food (i love the menu how it shows you a picture of each dish). Thankyou very much Tesco Cafe
