Saigon - Barnet

I called the restaurant at 7:45pm and was told it would take 45 minutes for my food to be ready. I thought that was okay because I needed to put my child to sleep. However, at 9:45pm, I was still waiting and feeling extremely frustrated. This experience completely ruined my Friday night. Thank you, Saigon, for the terrible service. I doubt I will ever receive my food.

We have been going to this restaurant in Finchley Central for 14 years and although it was never glamorous or stylish, it has recently become very poor. The lobster noodles used to be legendary, but now the food is disappointing. I'm not sure if the owners have changed, but Saigon needs to improve. What a shame.

This restaurant in London may not always get everything right, but then again, which restaurant does? The food is usually delivered quickly, sometimes even faster than expected, which is a pleasant surprise. The portion sizes are decent, but the meat content could be a bit lacking. However, the food is always served hot. It seems that this restaurant relies heavily on takeout, as whenever I pass by, there are rarely any customers dining in.

I worked next door to this restaurant 40 years ago.It has always been an Oriental restaurant.I have not been there for some time but decided to give it a try for lunch today.I had seafood noodle in soup and my friend had similar with vegatables instead.Despite the fact that it was almost empty they took rather a long time to bring what are fairly basic dishes.The bowl was rather large with a lot of soup,a lot of noodles and not so much in the way of seafood.Given that it only cost 4.90 each dish i suppose that it is difficult to moan to much about that.The total bill with a pot of tea and an orange juice was 11.40.Reasonable value for money for average food.
