Absolute gem of a place. Everything from cleanliness, atmosphere, service and of course quality of food is nothing short of excellent! Great menu, home cooked dishes and a good veggie menu. Looking forward to our next visit. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

A pleasant experience from the phone call to book right through to paying the bill. Staff all lovely and attentive but not in your face all the time. The food was amazing as was the general atmosphere in the building. A credit to Barnard Castle. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very disappointed with the food. Probably the most greasiest fish and chips I have eaten which is down to what it is cooked in. Only just Found this Place and visited twice in a week. The food is amazing especially the pork with proper crackling and the salmon bites were to die for. The staff are fantastic and they can't do enough for you even when they are busy. Lovely hosts as well who like to come and have a chat. Will see you soon. Jue and Andy from The G L. Service: Dine in
