Bidra med feedbackExcellent caffe, eating was super tasty and packed with local products. service was very fast and all the surfaces were spotless. total light and bright with relaxing layout. we tried the bowes rarebit and the ploughman is with a side of fries. then the homemade carrot cakes with knocks of tee. it was nice how fresh it looked and tasted. will definitely return.
Beautiful caffe, very obligated as we dog, so provided takeaway coffee and scoone. scone was the best thing I had one. offer a series of gluten-free cakes. staff very helpful and friendly. if they have a place, it would be great to offer an outside seating area for dog owners, so we could have more menus, as everything looked delicious.
What a brilliant small museum caffe really friendly staff, fast service, great worth and incredibly tasty eating. the steak sandwich I had here was the best I ever had, and the fact that they could add a little cup suppe was great. can not be blamed, it is worth coming to the museum alone for the caffe!
I have been to this café several times, the quality of food is very good (the soups are a triumph) and I would not hesitate to recommend, even for just a coffee and light bite. The only downfall is there is not much for children and the 'Kids Lunchbox ' is shamefully bad, consisting of a tiny sandwich, haribo, mini cheddars and a sugary juice. Not what any parent wants to feed their child and certainly doesn 't match the high standard of food on offer for adults. After minor tweaks I think this café would be a solid 5/5.
Café more upmarket than others around. Pleasant staff and good atmosphere. Just 10 minutes walk from thriving Barnard Castle
