Bidra med feedbackI called in to pick up my takeaway order that I made over the phone from a menu that was dropped through my door. I was informed that it would be ready in 20 minutes, but it ended up taking an additional 15 minutes when I arrived. This delay allowed me to take a closer look at the restaurant. There were two tables with a total of 6 adults and 2 kids dining. The owner or manager, along with a kitchen staff member, were working hard to serve the customers. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt like a works canteen with ceramic floors and bright lighting. The owner was sincerely apologetic for the delay and did his best to make up for it. Despite the lack of ambiance, the food was delicious, including fluffy coconut rice, Kerala fish curry, and Aloo Gobi, although the spice level was a bit hotter than I had requested. I would definitely consider returning, but next time I might opt to dine in for a better atmosphere, although some may argue that the current ambiance fits the location in Dagenham.
The side dishes were served as individual courses. The onion rings were greasy and served without salad, accompanied by ketchup. The fried cauliflower, also served as a separate course despite being requested as a side dish, had a similar presentation. Our starter, three samosas without salad and served with ketchup, was the final straw. We decided to leave at this point. It was a clear sign that something was amiss when we were the only customers in the restaurant at 7:30.
This is my favorite spot for kebabs and pizza. I always order the schish kebab with rice - the meat is perfect, the salad is fresh and the portions are large. The pizzas are cooked to order and taste delicious. The staff are friendly, accommodating and always go above and beyond. The place is always immaculately clean. This is the best kebab shop for me in the area.
