Bidra med feedbackWe had arrived at our apartment in caller de Napols near the Arc De Triomf and were heading into the centre. Whilst walking down one of the main roads I spotted Tantarantana to the side and decided to check it out. Set in a simple side square , there were plenty of tables available so we ordered a beer and sangria accompanied by olives and pan con tomate which were all refreshing and tasty. We followed this up with aubergines with molasses and mushroom croquettes , the aubergines were great crispy on the outside soft inside , the croquetas were full of mushroom flavour. We would’ve come back for more if we’d had the time.
We were a group of 7 people that wanted to seat for some tapas and a drink. Staff was unpleasant and not polite at all, the food and drinks are expensive for a very low quality. Not a good spot.
Great risotto and the grilled squid was also good. Nice atmosphere and nice waiting staff. Gluten-free options were limited
We, an extended family of seven had two nice tapas dinners at this place. Good food and wine, cold beer and friendly service in the nice outdoor environment made this two great family dinners in Barcelona.
Recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment we saw loads of People being turned away as they were simply packed (on a Thursday night). This place was recommended and it was simply excellent service was thrifty and to the point, no small talk, but excellent English I do think at our visit we were the only English people in there the place was buzzing with a vibrant atmosphere and the restaurant is every bit as authentic as you’d want it to be shouty waiters, groups of people eating chattering away and obv great food. We had quite the selection, some tapas a couple of main course and two glasses of wine each €50. Bargain. Pigs cheeks straw fries were amazing, as were the mussels and the Camembert. Highly recommend.
