Bidra med feedbackThe Patatas bravas was served first with a bottle of ketchup??? The rest of the tapas came much later when the patatas bravas was cold. But the prawns were served cold in oil that looked like it had been drained from a car. The chorizo wasn’t chorizo just greasy chipoltas, the croquettes were awful. Never again and the price was extortionate for what it was. The red wine was also to be avoided .:::
We recently visited the sister restaurant, xi xi tapas to this and it was first class the paella was so good we went back the following night. Rose who looked after us was first class thank you for making our Barcelona break memorable your hospitality was second to non.
Gracia is one of the most authentic places in Barcelona. A living barrio with real people and very few tourists. Bar Bretón is a wonderful and friendly place where you can sit among the locals, watch television, eat, drink and chat. We had sangria and paella. Both delicious. Friendly service!
My husband and I were in Barcelona for the MotoGP and were looking for somewhere to relax in the sunshine with a beer. We found this fantastic place to enjoy a beer and when we wanted food there was no problem with us moving inside where it was cooler. Staff are friendly, attentive and the food is of a good quality at a reasonable price. We ended up eating here several times and were made very welcome. This became “our local” with staff knowing what we wanted to drink and that we preferred to move inside for our meal. Visit this bar and restaurant and you won’t be disappointed
My twin brother Stephen and I were wandering around this part of town when we chanced on this superb bar and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a lovely light and airy interior, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and beer barrel tables, there's also plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar,it's just one cool locals bar. We were here on a roasting hot Friday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a vermouth each, the vermouth served here is quality, a generous measure,a slice of orange and some green olives, great presentation and a delicious drink. On this visit I cannot really comment on the tapa meals in here but I must say that they looked delicious and on our next visit to here we are most certainly going to sample their tapa menu. My vermouth was really good,a totally refreshing drink on such a hot afternoon and it made a nice change from the beers we had been drinking. We both enjoyed our vermouths in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we were very impressed with this bar. Bar Breton is easy to locate on Calle De Breton De Los Herreros. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, 7am till 11pm. Saturday, 8.30am till 11pm. Sunday, Closed. A great bar,one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.
