Greensborough Italian - Banyule

Pizza are very tasty and the Italian Cuisine was good also. This Restaurant has recently closed down and now is a Japanese Restaurant.

Yes, Greensborough Italian is closing early December 2016 after 15 years. What a wonderful Restaurant we were blessed with over all these years. I believe a new Japanese Restaurant will be opening at this location shortly thereafter. But do not fear, you can still taste the wonders and enjoyment of the Chef's expertise (i.e. Steve) at his new Restaurant (with Wife Sue) at "Coopers Bar & Restaurant", located at the corner of Plenty Road & Mount Cooper Drive, Bundoora - and I must say their new Restaurant is absolutely worth a visit ! Tried "Coopers" for a Sunday lunch with my family. Fantastic ! You won't be disappointed at all.

I've never written a bad review before, but our experience at Greensborough Italian was so terrible, we would not wish it upon anyone. We ordered 2 x Lasagne and 1 x Spaghetti cabornara - the lasagne was mircowaved - basically a few sheets of pasta with a couple of tasteless pieces of mince inside, and a running soup on the plate. No rich meaty tomato sauce, no cheese. The spaghetti was uncooked! How is an Italian chef unable to cook pasta!! I'm not talking about not cooked to our taste - it was hard and crunchy!! When we complained the owner was extremely rude. The worst meal we have ever had. Inedible. You've been warned.

The best garlic prawns around. Always good food. Very efficient & warm staff. Very welcoming to kids.

The food was very good, large servings. There was a mix up with our order and management offered a free drink while we waited. They also did not charge for the meals that were late.
