Bidra med feedbackWe were able to enjoy pre New Years drinks and tapas at this restaurant. We didn't have a reservation, but the staff was very accommodating. We started the evening with cocktails, followed by delicious oysters and croquettes. It was a lovely way to kick off the night, thanks to the friendly staff.
A very special place. This is a REAL appearance. Capital dining room and service, with small town friendliness, charm and personality. Nicely presented food, balanced and finely tuned. Really would not be surprising to serve some of these dishes in the big name farm to table restaurants. Great natural wines on offer. And a beautiful, intimate space. I really think these guys haven't got a hat or two in the next few years.
Located in the center of Coolangatta, this Italian restaurant is truly delightful. The dishes are plentiful and made with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend trying the side salad with goat cheese and satay dressing, it was outstanding. The staff is attentive and they offer an impressive cocktail menu. Keep in mind that the seating is limited, so arriving early is recommended.
Tasca always has a wide range of unusual wines, especially orange wines and organics. The charcuterie plate is a must and although it is not the cheapest, quality is always sensational. Once you get the age where Eddie's Grub House is just a nightmare, move the road somewhere quieter.
I wish I could give this place six stars. As someone who eats out for work around 200 nights a year, I can say that Tasca truly impressed me. I initially thought it was just another Italian restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the unique and zesty flavors, from the jalapeno cocktail to the amazing spanner crab crumpet. Despite a full house, the staff happily seated us at the bar where we could watch the food being prepared, and there were no concerns about hygiene. I was also impressed to see that the restaurant had a predominantly female staff, reflecting a progressive approach to business. The staff were friendly and engaging, adding to the overall dining experience. Leaving Tasca, I felt rejuvenated and hopeful for the future of the service industry.
