Bidra med feedbackThis place should be the standard of Pub food . The beef cheeks were so soft and delicious. Highly recommended.
Good atmosphere too... quality food that everyone’s enjoy
Wanted to try this place for a while and finally had the opportunity to. Initially we only ordered one main (2 adults) as we wanted to sample lots of entrees but then added a main when we realised the portions weren’t huge. The stand out were the chicken wings, beef cheeks and the deliciously complex kingfish. Very delicious and fresh. The sausage roll was also very yum. Whilst portions aren’t huge they are moderately priced. Dessert was ok. You order for yourself at the counter, the menu isn’t huge but there is variety A good place to come for a good quality feed I’m a veggie lover so would love to see more veggie and salad options on the menu. Looking forward to coming back
Very disappointed this was our second try. I ordered fish, which was dry n over cooked, pea purée was nice. Husband ordered the steak it was flank, very chewy and served with charred leek n chips (chips were good). Leek was raw. When we mentioned this to the waiter she said that is how it is served. The first time we went it was also not good, lots of kids running around, food was average. Such a shame given Colin's reputation, and menu is very limited. Please try harder as the area needs a decent restaurant. I wonder what Colin would rate this food if he was judging it??? Disappointed local.
Colin Fassnidge has teamed up with Leigh McDivitt of 3 Weeds to bring us Banksia Bistro. A gastro-style pub that us locals in the South have needed for some time and we are excited!. The Bistro is simple, green, leafy and bright! The feels are about community, comfort, enjoyment and laid back dining. There is a small play area for the little ones too.
