Bidra med feedbackReally excellent southern Thai food. each court was in front of location, the service was very friendly and the menu was very different than most other Thai places I tried. I'll be back. Oh, and try the cocky bowl. it's just wonderful.
Had the pinto set menu: Crab curry with noodles; yellow fish curry with bamboo shoots; Bai Liang with shrimps; and the Grass Jelly for dessert. Came in a beautiful (humongous) pinto! Full on no skimping on raw mats, huge crab pieces, chunks of fish and hot dam spice level that speaks to true southern Thai food (if you don 't like spicy food, I would recommend saying so). The food was flavorful, probably not for someone watching their health though (sodium, spice, oil), personally, the Bai Liang or rather the shrimps were a little salty but the brown rice was very very nice, fluffy, but the grains were distinguishable. The grass jelly was 'chakangrao ' style but done in hexagonal blocks with generous amounts of longan abit too sweet for me, adding lots of ice would help. All in all great food and enough to feed my whole family for a second meal.
Its talk of the town, Khua Kling Pak Sod, southern restaurant. They offer genuine home cooking with various of choices. I am in love with thier famously southern yellow curry gaeng leaung. You must come a try this!
Super duper delicious southern Thai food. The fried fish with garlic is a must order, do add the chilli sauce that comes together. I love the petai prawns as well. There’s a stir fried curly vegetable that I ordered which is not in the pic, you will see it in the menu. Southern Thai food is filled with spices. So the curry is nice as well. Nothing will go wrong here. Just gather a few more people then you can try out a wide variety. They do close kinda early around 9pm, so do go early. It’s kinda my comfort home cook food whenever I visit Bangkok. Will definitely be back.
If it was possible to give 6 stars, I would have! Absolutely delicious southern Thai food. More expensive than normal Thai fare however completely worth it. Excellent service and the ambience feels a cross between a museum and a private house. The 'Moo Hong ' and 'Geng Luang Pla are must orders! Have lived in Thailand for nearly 6 years and this is one of the best up scale Thai meals I 've ever had.
