Bidra med feedbackTired of your typical daily food? Get dirty with Southern American seafood boils at Crab Factory. Before I start the review, let's emerged into the seafood goodness by click this video below:. The place is quite spacey, but limited. Suitable for group of people who just want to share the same love for foods. It was first time that I get to eat with my fellow bloggers, and it was fun and for me, I do enjoy the time that we spend doing the same thing that we love, which is eating!
To embrace the whole Southern American cuisine of Creole and Cajun cooking with their shared culture of relaxed backyard affairs of large seafood boils to bring together entire communities for some serious chow down . Similar to the backyard BBQ that most of us are more familiar with , it is all about gathering with family and friends and sharing great food, interesting conversations and knocking back a few beers with good company .
Wanted to try something new and was super fascinated with the concept of getting down and dirty with both of my hands. Chose the Spanner crab as I 've never seen such 'crab species ' before and was delighted as it was tasty with lots of meat. Also had prawns (there are several kinds), fried garlic chicken, scallops (loved it! Big and juicy), yabbies, onion petals. One of the sides (mushrooms) was given to us complimentary. Prices was a bit of the high side-RM431 for 3 pax and 2 of my friends was still hungry after dinner. Taste is good but portions are quite small, after peeling the meat out of the shell (and you are paying the weight of the shell too). Worth a try!
The homemade golden fried oatmeal balls which serve as secret weapon to soak up the essence and sauces of the seafood bags. The oatmeal ball itself was fragrant and addictive; after soaking up the broth/sauce, it was sweetened with essence from the sea and the spice from Jamba-Jamba style or Southern Bang.
