Crown Mitre Inn - Bampton

I stayed at the Crown and Mitre in July 2014 with my border collie, Meg. The Inn is totally dog-friendly and our room was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The steak pie dinner is to die for but you 'll need a big appetite to finish the 'large ' portion! Great range of beers to enjoy after a day on the fells and the breakfast was excellent as well. Just need to find an excuse to get down there and stay again.

We had a lovely stay this weekend. The only thing I would mention is that the bedroom on the top floor could use some blinds for the Velux windows.

This has not been a pub since januar 2022, but a hotel / holiday home with 12 bedrooms for up to 24 guests. it can be set by the space, the floor or in its totality. more information you can find on the website of the sykes holiday homes.

We had a fantastic dining experience with well-maintained ales and friendly service. Although we didn't stay long, we visited three times during the week.

We stayed in Room 1, which was a good-sized room with a fantastic view of the church across the street. The en-suite bathroom was pleasant, though the shower could use a little maintenance (it wasn't a big issue, just a minor problem where the tub connection to the showerhead fell apart). The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.
