I had a good feeling about this place when I arrived at the door. the first person I met was julia who, when I told her, it was my first time she needed time to explain the menu to me. ordered a large crab cake with cubed garnels, a large pizza with both cheeses. half paprika and mushroom. half-wurst and swirl. a salted caramel-chessecake and a limello cake. the crumb cake with cube garnel was delicious. there was certainly a lot of crab (and garnel) on this cake. I'm the pfefferchoco and mushroom type. that brought me back. I wasn't sure if I was in ny or philly. but I was in highlandtown! I could not get enough of this pizza! had to taste the salted carmel cheesecake and it was fantastic. that'll be great with my coffee. the Lemoncello cake tasted and sent me to another planet, it was so good. that will be perfect with my tee. matthews pizza is all this and then some. They've been here for 79 years. I understand why the people are rave about it. I'll be back!
Let 's keep this simple: #1 It 's best to eat there #2 I order the thin crust just ask for that if you don 't like too much bread. #3 This is the BEST pizza in Baltimore
I haven’t gotten a Matthew‘s pizza for quite some time now. The only thing I recommend is there mozzarella pie no toppings. It is amazing. The cheese is always crispy and well done the crust is always well done and crunchy. It is the best pizza on the planet hands-down. But I do not recommend anything else on the menu. I wish I could bring my own drink because their fountain sodas are always flat. Highly recommend the pizza.
Fantastic place for a beer and pizza. Get the crab pie! I will be returning next time I’m in the area.
I have been coming here with family for years . The quality has never gone down if anything the food has only gotten better . The quality of service is amazing . The salad for a starter is a go to , the three cheese pizza with pepperoni, the meat lovers , and the margherita are always a hit, and dont forget to grab a cannoli for dessert.
