The Thatch - Ballymore eustace

First time visiting this restaurant and won't be back Was sitting there for fifteen mins and had to call someone for a menu Zero customer service not a nice interior Would definitely not be going there again

If you happen to come across this hidden gem of a restaurant, make sure to stop in. The food is amazing and the service is exceptionally friendly. They offer a wide variety of options, with a particular focus on delicious choices for vegetarians, as well as excellent options for chicken and meat lovers. The staff is very welcoming and overall, this restaurant is a must-try treat.

We happened to come on the Thatch and Thyme on a recent visit to Killarney as it is on the road in the village of Kildorrery just past Mitchelstown. A lovely small restaurant supplying good food and we sampled a coffee/tea and dessert before resuming our journey to Killarney. Next day looking for a lunch stop on the way back there was nothing appealing along the road and when we got to Kildorrery sure we said why not try Thatch and Thyme again. We were not disappointed. First we got a lovely welcome back from one of the waiters and then enjoyed a fabulous main course of Beef burger and Fish respectively before continuing our journey home. What a place food is fabulous and staff are friendly and efficient. Keep it going and we will definitely be coming back Michael/Margaret

Every July and/or August we drive from Dublin to Kenmare for a short holiday, and on the return journey yesterday we spotted Thatch and Thyme and called in. There was a great vibe and buzz (especially welcome when going home is a bit of a downer), so we decided to sample the menu. My wife had an excellent scone and coffee, and I had an outstanding coronation chicken open sandwich. The service was as friendly as the food was good, so we can recommend Thatch and Thyme most highly. If we can get to Kenmare next year we will definitely be back!

I have eaten at this small cafe/restaurant on a few occasions with friends. The quality of the food is excellent. The service is efficient and friendly. If I had one criticism it is that perhaps the floors and general appearance of the place could be tidier. All that said, I will be back.
