Bidra med feedbackDoesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. The definition of a hole in the wall. I got the Pulled Pork sandwich and wow... there are no words. A classic sandwich down right. Crisp bun, juicy meat, topped with Charlotte's signature sauce. There's about a million options between the menu board and the secret menu (you have to ask for it! so it can get a little overwhelming, but you really can't go wrong. Not much else to say besides go try it yourself! You won't regret it! Cool bathrooms too!
Growing up in west St. Louis county just off Manchester rd. this was our families favorite BBQ spot. It hard to believe that it has been 19years since developments forced them out of the restaurant that had so much ambience. The old charm may be gone, but the food is just as good, if not better than I remember. Growing older allows me to appreciate the effort it takes to make consistently excellent food. The CB Joe sandwich and fries is a hard option to beat for lunch. I really enjoy the seasoning they use in the fries. Slightly salty and a touch of sweet make them exceptionally good, dip them in the house sauce!
Took a little trip over the holiday and a few places were closed or closed early but luckily this place was close and nearby my hotel. It didn't disappoint! I got the brisket dinner with a side of baked beans and their seasoned fries. Everything came out hot, fresh, and tasty. I'm happy I stopped by!
This is BBQ done to perfection. Hole in the wall in a strip mall, walls covered in the awards they have won. Cowboy-themed. I got ribs and brisket, both were delightful. They earned the 5 stars from me. Just enough bite, sauced just the right amount. Fried mushrooms and onion ring appetizer was deep fried to perfection. The only weak link to me was the coleslaw, which was drowning in oil and vinegar dressing, with too many conflicting herbs for my tastes (and this may be a regional thing because I like my southern style coleslaw--for all I know this is the best St. Louis style coleslaw around).
Love the barbeque here. I ordered the brisket and it was amazing! The ribs are fall off the bone and meaty. The owners are so friendly and know their barbeque. Cant wait to go back and try the reuben. Give them a try. They wo3nt disappoint.
