Great ambiente, excellent eating, amazing wine. the price tag. we enjoyed starting thunfischtare, followed by the salmon and crab cakes for ducks, both cooked for perfection. the latter were hard on the crab and easy on the teig, which is rare to find and is oh-so-exposed. only disappointment was our waiter claimed to be a sommelier, but fought for detailed descriptions of the weine.
Great restaurant with fantastic atmosphere. the service is impeccable and the location is inviolable. the hotel is located in bal harbour shops over carpaccio.
We had a delicious meal. the thunfischtar was excellent. a very large part for a starter fortunately we shared! high point was the Sirloin steak. pricey, but very delicate and tasty. the pommes were salty, but the server was happy to bring us a new Batch salt. Unfortunately, the dessert selection is very limited with only 2 choices, so we do not deepen. a beautiful evening.
I frequent the Grill and have not been disappointed. There is usually a wait but the bar inside as well as outside is a great place to park till your table is ready. This time I went and I noticed a few adjustments to their operation. I got one less olive in my martini, they have a new bread basket that they charge $3 for which is typically free in every other establishment. The most tragic change of all was the loss of the biscuits from the menu. I had specifically went there craving them and was in total shock when I heard the news. How could you possibly take a signature item off of the menu?? Who is running this place and why make such a silly decision?? I will give it another try but if it's not back soon I may not return. Sounds silly but if you had them then you know.
