Ella Siyapatha Hut - Badulla

Very cool restaurant, all traditional dishes are not spicy and very tasty. The kitchen is right in front of you. You can participate in cooking. Show Cooking as in traditional Japanese restaurants. Absolute recommendations, although a little far from the city centre.

Climate and host it is amazing so friendly the whole family prepares food. We tried rice and curry and was amazing. For the next diner we ordered Kottu and that was the best we had in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful family Great food! Electricity shortage at the moment every evening in Ella: they still managed to prepare one of the best rice cures I had in Sri Lanka!

We had a fantastic meal here. It is served buffet style, with 8 different curry types to choose from. It is 600 per plate great value and you can go and have as many plates as you can eat! The family cooking right in front of you is a real experience from the moment you arrive. It is also something outside the city (about 15 minutes walk) so feels completely away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Ella.

Walked there for a dinner from a hotel nearby. Luckily we had a flashlight because it was super dark on the road. The place was cozy and the service was frienly. There was delicious homemade buffet with many options.
