Welcome Residenzschloß Bad Arolsen

We had an excellent stay and enjoyed our 'superior room ' very much: nicely furnitured, very comfortable and clean. Fantastic wellness factilities, with indoor pool (and outdoor pool...but that 's too cold in October ; , whirlpool and 3 indoor and 2 outdoor sauna 's: great! Breakfast was also very good, with a lot of things to choose from. We had diner twice: in the restaurant of the hotel an excellent buffet and also a very good meal at the cosy Plückers restaurant. The MeineCardPlus we 've received with our booking was also very helpfull: we 've visited a number of places in the neighbourhood and the card saved us a lot of entry fees. All highly recommended!

Great location and very nice room (superior double room). Beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, clean. Breakfast could be improved. Coffee especially, it was below average. Good value for money, would stay again (but would not have breakfast here).

My favourite in Bad Arolsen, big room, reach breakfast, very nice wellness area, is only missing air conditioning...

Amenities are ok, however I have to give 2 stars. I was charged full length of stay, over €1,000 for two nights. EDIT: I would like to point out that poor terms and conditions are not exempt from consideration in a review. The review system serves to inform and guide, and in this case, I hope it serves as a valuable resource and cautionary tale for those considering this hotel. My overall experience was greatly marred by the exorbitant cost incurred due to a family emergency. Unfortunately, the managers actions by choosing to hide in their office and send an employee, who was not fluent in English, to deal with my frustration was cowardly, unprofessional, and added insult to injury.

Overrated Hotel! disappointing experience. Since at the arrival when we wanted to pay for our stay we noticed, that we were charged for an extra champagne service that we didnt order. We were able to clarify that but our whole stay was followed by only poor organisation from the hotel staff. We had already book a place for dinner, and then we were told we could not order A La Carta, but we had to go to Plückers, which is basically a little restaurant/bar near Hotel. Quality of food and serving experience at Plückers was not satisfying either. Room Junior Suite was ours) was very pretty and had enough space, but unfortunately was not cleaned properly. Dust had settled everywhere, the roomphone was completely covered in dust as it havent been cleaned for days. Pillows were so soft as if you had none- might as well sleep without them. The location is really peaceful but the therme is pretty small. There is a small Jaccuzi and a tiny pool, which was full the whole day and we werent able to enjoy it, even though you get extra charged for the spa. We wanted to order our breakfast in our room since i wasnt feeling well and even though a room service button was there, the personal staff behaved really unpolite and said they had no time and that we need to pick it up ourselves if we want to. We obviously expected more for the price we paid. Lack of professionalism and unorganised stuff.
