The Chestnuts - Ayr

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The menu had a lot of delicious options, and the dishes we ordered were especially tasty. I particularly enjoyed the sponge in the wood mushroom sauce...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmh. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant again.

Eating and service brilliant, the main dining area needs a little facelift, but apart from that it is a great place to eat

Beautiful cozy feeling about restaurant and the staff were wonderful and friendly. the food was delicious and there was much to choose. we had a table of 6 and were very well visited. about £70 per couple including drinks, very reasonable. will defo back.

Great service pleasant staff very helpful.soup brill steak was cooked to perfection my only fault is please chef don’t salt food too much I’m not a fan of salt it should be left to customers to add their own. Partners steak pie was charred at top of meat and dried up. Would have sent it back but was in hurry.would have been 5 stars if wasn’t for meat in steak pie. Returned for another meal once again absolutely brilliant service and food was delicious this time no salt. Staff bend over backwards to assist you thx for great experience
