Bidra med feedbackUnfortunately Covid has taken its toll on this place. My husband and I read reviews and went straight there, only to find that it has been closed and is for sale. So heart breaking
So this is a tourist town, food in Mac city is generally not the best, but this place has never disappointed. Our server was a really nice guy. Food was good and we enjoyed it
So a lot of my review goes into flavor and service. Now I know flavor is subjective, but the pizza needs more sauce, more crust toppings and some actual flavor. I know they don’t have to try real hard because of location but this makes little ceasars look gourmet. We had to ask for refills on drinks EVERYTIME, we had to ask for plates, silverware and napkins. We had to ask them to cut the pizza into slices, because apparently someone out there likes to eat one large piece of pizza. Overall I would give this a one star but I think with some flavor, better training of staff and some effort/initiative, this place could be ok.
My wife and I visit this place every time we come to Mackinaw City absolutely love their pizza, and their wait staff is always on par.
We decided to do a City Pizza taste test. The taste testers were myself, my husband and my 8 and 10 year old boys. The contenders were: Nona Lisa, BC Pizza, Momma Mia 's and Pizza Palace. We ordered a small personal cheese and pepperoni pizza. The dough was amazing. Soft and chewy. My husband does not eat crust, and my youngest usually doesn 't either. They both polished off the crust, comparing it to our all time favorite pizza place on Pigeon Forge Island, Mellow Mushroom. The sauce was very good and the toppings were not skimped on, even though we were alerted to a food supply shortage at the restaurants due to Covid. This pizza was definitely spot on! I would recommend this pizza place. Now, if you bothered to read this far, and want to read any further, the places the contenders came in are as follows: 1. For my boys, Nona Lisa was last; BC was 3rd, Pizza Palace was 2nd and Momma Mia 's was 1st, but I am convinced that is because they got to play the rubber duck machine while we waited for our food at Momma Mia 's. Given the fact my youngest ate the crust, I am pretty sure they would pick Pizza Palace, if it was pizza only, rather than pizza and rubber ducks : Further, we taste tested this pizza after dinner, and my youngest wanted to order another pie ! So that speaks volumes. 2. For my husband and I, Nona Lisa was last; BC was 3rd, Momma Mia 's was 2nd and Pizza Palace was 1st. The crust was outstanding and we were very pleased with this pizza. I would have ordered another pie , however, my urge or order ice cream overrode my another pie purchase : The reason for the 4 star review is that for a small 8 inch pepperoni and cheese pizza at $11.99, this price seemed a bit steep. Thanks for the pizza! You are in our top contenders!
