Bidra med feedbackAvoca Beach in the Central Coast of NSW is a popular destination for families, tourists, and couples looking to getaway. The long stretch of golden beach is perfect for surfing and swimming, with lifeguards on patrol during summer. I enjoy relaxing on the beach with a good book and taking in the beautiful Pacific Ocean views. Avoca Beach also offers the opportunity to explore the peaceful Avoca Lake and enjoy shopping at the nearby restaurants and boutiques. The Blue Bar and Bistro is a favorite spot for romantic evenings with its open plan balcony overlooking the area.
We all need a place to escape to. For Wendy and her brothers, it was Neverland. For the Pevensie children, it was Narnia. And for me, it's Avoca. Ever since I was young, my family has been escaping Sydney for weekends up the coast. The drive to Avoca is just an hour away, a peaceful journey up the freeway. But once you arrive at Avoca, it feels like a completely different world. From enjoying fish and chips in the lively seaside town of Terrigal, to exploring the steep cliffs of The Skillion, to crabbing at North Avoca Rocks, to surfing along Avoca Beach, there is something for everyone here. I have fond memories of the old beach-front milk bar at Avoca, where I would run around, drink strawberry Mooves, and play Street Fighter 2. Those were the days.
