Taberna Do Canal - Aveiro

I went last Monday to Aveiro on a work trip at the Aveiro Port, and the work took longer than Ii expected, so it was lunch time... hmmmmm... where to go?... well I don 't know any restaurants at Aveiro, so I parked near the channel and what do I see in front of me? Taberna do canal.... I sat down at a table they have outside, away from the blazing sun and asked the waitress what she recommended... well she brought me the BIFE À CASA , a steak with garlic souce.... simply amazing!!! Nice place, friendly people.... worth a try!

We traveled up and down Portugal and eat a lot out. But, as small as it is, offered one of the best grilled cods we've ever tasted. Delicious!

Spontaneous stop for dinner and we were very pleased with the food we were served. The waiter was multi-lingual and friendly. We would return.

6 people just tried to have lunch, at least half of the tables were empty and the waiter told us he has instructions from the kitchen to not accept more guests, no justification provided. We asked him to tell in the kitchen that these guests are not coming anymore. This is not the kind of service I'm used to in Portugal even at 14h!!!
