Bidra med feedbackYeah, this is probably one of the better places in Kings Cross, which honestly, isn't really saying much. Mind you, it is pretty much one of those backpacker nightspots, which is what Kings Cross has really become these days. I have been here a few times, and it does have a pretty decent upstairs area. The downstairs area isn't all that bad as well. Mind you, as I mentioned, it does happen to be Kings Cross, so it is probably best to be avoided there are much better places in Sydney to visit.
Saw the sign outside for the special of the day: curry. I love curry. My fiance loves curry. We love trying new restaurants so we walked in. Ordered the curry and some grilled halloumi. Visually, the curry was disappointing. As far as taste, it didn't taste bad but it wasn't good either. I swear I remember they advertised it as the best curry you'll ever have. That's definitely not true, but I doubt the sign was meant to be taken literally. I don't think you can really mess up halloumi, so that was as good as expected. The inside decor is nice from what I could tell (it's really dark in there at night! . The bathrooms are clean. This place wasn't particularly memorable. I think they probably get a lot of tourist traffic.
What a night this was; so much fun! Booked a table for 6 (only 5 of us made it). Seated along the window in a booth was squishy but manageable. We arrived at 8pm to have some dinner before the main event. After checking in I got a pop up on my app saying I had 10% off. Unfortunately there was a mix up and my partner got my 10%. I ordered the chicken burger served with chips and tomato sauce. The burger was really tasty. Moist chicken with kimchi, slaw and the most devilishly delicious bun. The chips were a large serve and well seasoned. Only $20. I indulged with burnt ends served with wasabi BBQ sauce. Definitely order these. Now.... Tranny Bingo!!! Not the kind you associate with your grandma and definitely don't bring your kids along. Adults only and don't come if you're the stick in the mud or easily offended type. It's an absolutely cheeky evening with some equally cheeky Queens. $10 to play gives you 6 cards. I'd recommend purchasing a $4 dabber to mark your numbers. Collect the rainbow. I won 2 cards for a free drink in the first round and the final round has $300 on offer. Thursday nights from 9pm.
Sensational food and service. Two TV's with sport on them and a little background music was just right.
A local pub in Potts Point, that I believe has undergone a recent renovation. The interior looks classy, with the timeless leather booths, dark-moody palette but at the same time there's plenty of sunshine flooding in. We booked ahead, because who knows, it might get busy. Stepped into the hotel, a was greeted with a lazy, laid-back atmosphere. It was great! Can eat in peace, people watch, enjoy our company. The service was quick, we didn't have to wait long for our orders to be made and then be served... P: purplecuriosity.wordpress.com/2019/05/20/potts-point-hotel/
