Bidra med feedbackI was starving when I went in but I sat at the bar and ordered an old fashioned. If you don't know, because I didn't l, they have a full bar. The drink was strong and low priced for Makers Mark and a good strong drink. I was having such a good time talking with the bar tender and other guests, no pictures. The food was good, the people were the best and the service was great. Definitely going to go back hopefully during this stay. I want to add that growing up in Southern California I have high taco standards and these are good but not great. The entire place however is great
Delish but spicy! Everything tasted lovely and the flavors of the airstream salad were on point. But everything we ordered was pretty spicy, to the point that I only ate about half, so know that going in :
The first time the original Torchy of Austin tries. We avoided the most touristic location and went for it in downtown business districts. First we love the vibe. Bar area is huge. I'd like to come back in the evening and hang up a bit. seating area feels open and welcoming. I like the outdoor seating area, which is super pleasant here at the end of March. The menu is easy to decrypt, but hard to decide. Between the 5 of us we have a number of Tacos, a total of 9: Republican, Demokrat, Trailer Park regularly “trashy”, Beef Fajita, Green Chile Pork, Crossroad Tipsy Chick. What was our favorite? It's hard to say. I loved them all. The Republican Democrat turned out. We also had chips with the green Chile queso. Excellent diving sauce. It took a few chips. I highly recommend Torchys. They are high-end tacos, inexpensive, but you can easily share 3 or 4 between two persons, unless you are a big eater.
Loved the tacos from the secret menu. The Matador is my favorite taco here. Had so much taste. Sangria was good too.
The tacos are what you expect. They are fresh, taste good and has a nice bar vibe to it. Grab a taco and beer and you don’t be disappointed. The line gets long at lunch which is something to avoid. It’s served by Raza but it has a hipster vibe to it.
