Musashino Sushi Dokoro - Austin

Always the best sushi in Austin. Edit used to be free best sushi. I don't know what happened, but the last couple of times have been really disappointing. Yet still the same high price.

Been coming here all the way back to the late 90 's. The old Musashino was so great. This location is a bit lame. Strip mall ish. Not much atmosphere. We were spending about $150 head and had to order off of our phones no paper menus. Server seemed overwhelmed confused much of the time. Still good sushi. May go back at some point but there is a lot of competition these days.

The sushi is good here always has been. Solid menu not much changes. That said I am not going back. A personal think of mine is at a nicer restaurant I am no longer willing to order from online menu. I understand this was needed during COVID but this is not a low cost environment and providing an actual menu is important to me

We went with the Omikase for two and were not overly enthused by it. The service was great and the atmosphere was cozy, but nothing exceptional. We might go back at some point to experience the a la cart offerings.

Musashino is our go-to for sushi! We have been going on date nights there for years! It’s the best.
