Fukumoto Sushi Yakitori Izakaya

I visited Austin for a week and I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a place to eat. Initially, I was hesitant because they only served raw sushi, but the server, Luke, was fantastic at recommending dishes. I tried several dishes and they were absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was great, with attentive and welcoming staff. The miso soup was the best I've ever had. This restaurant is definitely now my favorite spot in Austin!

Honestly, the food was average, not worth the price. The raw super fatty tuna is fine, vegetable tempura is light and crunchy, the king salmon yakitori is nice. Everything else is not worth the price. Uní tastes sweet but a little bit fishy aftertaste. Maybe try more yakitori.

I've never had a bad experience. The fish is always super fresh and perfectly cleaned. Without a doubt the best sushi spot in Austin. Their Uni pasta is a must order. It's one of my favorite dishes in Austin. Their desserts are super fun and tasty. Amazing restaurant and awesome staff.

Outstanding, now my new favorite Japanese restaurant in town. Staff were friendly and food came out really quick. Everything was great!!
