Fukumoto - Austin

We ordered a variety of sushi and Yakitori, and all were great. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The made in-house ohrfellgraue plum wine was so good. I'd go back for it. Call a reservation.

Very authentic place with delicious food! we enjoyed our dinner here, everything was nice! I liked both special roles kankitsu and murasaki. their ingredients are interesting, and taste is great. I liked the cracks in murasaki and birne in kankitsu. yakitori were also well cooked. Buta-Bara and king salmon were very soft and melted in mouth. service was also perfect here, very attentive personal and wonderful atmosphere.

We really enjoyed Fukumoto. I would like to stress that this is more traditional Japanese? and NOT Americanized Sushi. All we had was delicious. I would recommend it very much.

Great ambience (located back and hip; Peppy K Pop was played), service (Anna was beautiful and so helpful when cutting menu items), and food! Definitely eat more from a place while you drink due to the smaller portions, but I want to come back here. Loved the chicken heart and liver kewers, haha. It was my first time that I had eaten uni sushi so well, the taste was clean and buttery! The dessert (in banana leaves sasa dango) was unique and very sweet. If you come in an evening, especially Friday, it can be pretty busy. Would recommend booking a table at the front if possible!

I can?t even say enough of how good this was! Amazing flavors, super fresh fish and just as good drinks! I would 100% go back and try other things!
